Rise In Love

why do we fall in love
rather than rise in love..

even poets always fall in love
rather than rise in love
this is a mystery..

i would say we fall in hate
but we rise in love..

we rise in love together
and sometimes we rise in love so alone
on a different direction a path a calling another mooring
sometimes almost driven mad with loneliness
riddled with self-doubt or sorrow
yet especially here in love we rise..

when a love is lost and out of reach forever
even as we tumble and fall almost drowning
swim up to the rippling light
we rise in love
a spark of the divine remains within
that can never be taken
and like a candle flame rekindled
we rise in love..

as you stare up at the night sky
know the stars and moon also need a friend
embrace the light of the luminous night
we only fall in hate
but we rise in love
the optics the night offers you
may also prove invaluable
and can also be your trusted confidante and friend..

unless we have fallen in hate or bitterness
even after a love has gone
we remain risen in love
for every kind of love leaves its mark
memories are the living legacy
not to imprison but for reflection
for afterwards we are never quite the same again
even as we tumble and fall in the heartbreak
we can stay risen in love
its touchstone its true meaning..

reeling feeling that searing sense of loss
even for a love never experienced
memories never made
the empty chambers of your heart
nurturing the present absence
but love can never be pursued or grasped
and can never be owned
so let go and be kind to yourself
your heart revived..

tumbling and falling
fall forward
reach out
fall forward and you will rise in love stronger
and heal..

we only fall in hate
but we rise in love..

we fall in hate
but we rise in love
give yourself a chance
allow that flame of the divine inside its dance
fall forward and heal
and rise in love
rise in love..
