You should do your best to publish the best of your poetry from here. Even if it is a very personal (and substance use affected) blog there are still many good poems left. Some young poets cannot break through their narrow circle of interests. You can.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comments - noted and appreciated. A couple of things: I'm no longer young - far from it! And this may surprise you, but I'm not a substance user at all: I enjoy stream-of-consciousness creative writing, that's all. Read some of my more surreal offerings as an homage/affectionate mickey-take to those more psychedelic styles of writing. I only began writing humorous poetry just over a year ago now. After many years of attempting "proper poetry" I've finally found my niche: tortoise and hare! Better late than never. The blog is my safe-haven where I feel comfortable "riffing" different styles, so by its nature it is very hit-and-miss, but that's all part of the process. Cheers!
